Recognizing the value of the technology, BC Transit's Victoria branch wanted an AVL system that would 'push the envelope' of the technology further. In November 2005, it awarded a tender for fleet management software to Victoria-based FleetPoint and AppLocation Systems. Beyond just showing where its buses were, the transit operator wanted its system to show how 'healthy' the buses were. |
