Office furniture maker honoured for minimizing waste

The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) has presented a 2009 Pollution Prevention Award to Teknion, a Toronto-based office furniture designer and manufacturer.

Now in their 13^th year, the awards recognize organizations for leadership and accomplishment in preventing pollution. Teknion, honoured in the large business category, has pursued a multifaceted environmental strategy, ranging from straightforward recycling to using design software to maximize the use of a given quantity of material.
